Android App Development India: Use the "Fork" to Your Advantage - Hyperlink InfoSystem

We keep hearing about the Mobile Operating System Android. Android devices (including the “forked” version of the base version) make up more than 70% of the mobile market share. Phones that are supported by the Android platform come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, that span over a wide price range as well. This along with Google's (who Android is licensed to) strategy of making the Android source open to all through it's AOSP (Android Open Source Project) created even more opportunities for the market players. Who now had the opportunity to create their own “flavor” on top of the basic version. Amazon being the classic example with it's. Amazon went ahead and got itself even more attention with it's Android fork created specially to grow and flourish it's native environment, with it's not popular app store as well as email services and much more.

A new entrant to this practice is Nokia. Currently owned by Microsoft, Nokia grabbed quite a few eyeballs with it's decision to unveil a new line of mobile devices that ran on forked versions of Google's Android. With it's “Nokia X” series, that are especially aimed at emerging markets, the company intends to turn it's bad fortunes upside down by riding on the wide reach of the open source platform plus including it's own twist to the mix that somewhat borrows a bit from it's parent Window's user experience. And then market this concoction to the low to mid ranged economies to make it sell like hotcakes. As far as developers are concerned. Nokia reasons that the Nokia X ecosystem does offer decent support for existing popular apps so that users don't feel left out. But for a lot of other apps, porting and other tweaks might be necessary. Here's a good opportunity for Android App Development India professionals to try their hand at yet another new platform. Since, as mentioned before the OS used here is a variation of the Android platform, so getting used to the new architecture shouldn't be much of a problem.

Due to the competitive cost and Nokia's willingness and focus to pump out as many devices that they can for the target market, means that this new influx of devices would indeed be a good market for Android App Development India to fault their wares. The service industry is one that is booming at a considerable rate and the more agile and informed you remain about the changes and advances, the better chance of your success. Now, even though Google is trying to perform damage control strategies by creating patents and new guidelines to control the forking of it's OS, it's still facing a lot of competition from it's own breed.

This further solidifies the concreteness of the Mobile market. With just a few years ago, the creators of the Android OS had proposed an offer to Samsung which was rejected which ended up being a mistake for them. Android App Development India professionals too need to be on the lookout from all sides and have a flexible business strategy that can accommodate the dynamic challenges that comes with creating solutions for the Mobile market.
